Be our guest at the #goldengirlscondo

Inspired by the symmetry of the floorplan, we chose to keep the finishes in the bedroom and bathroom at the #goldengirlscondo similar to those used in the primary suite.

In the guest bedroom, this meant fresh white paint, white epoxy floors, and finishing the ledge with Baltic birch plywood. To achieve a modern, minimalist look, we chose to forgo baseboards throughout the unit and seamlessly blended the walls into the epoxy floors.

We also combined two separate closet doors into one set of double doors to make the storage space more accessible and functional. We swapped out the old door hardware for brushed gold door knobs throughout the unit and painted the doors to each bedroom a muted pink for a touch of color.

In the guest bathroom across the hall, we used the same maple wood floating vanity and plumbing fixtures as in the primary bathroom, but opted for a matte black finish instead of brushed brass. We also used the same terrazzo-look floor tile, this time in a gray color way, and the same starburst pattern cement tile for the shower walls, this time in a dusty blue color.

We reglazed the original cast iron tub a neutral white (although part of us wishes we kept the pink!). A handmade brass light fixture and simple round mirror added the perfect finishing touches to this bathroom design.
